Microsoft Office Training Program

This program will include Basic Training of Windows XP, Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Windows XP brings a new, more personalized look to the desktop that will make it easier for users to scan or import images and to acquire music files on the Web and transfer them to portable devices.  The new 2007 Microsoft Office System features a new user interface making the most frequently used commands just a single click away.

Microsoft Word is a word processing software package which can be used to type letters, reports, and other documents.  It gives you the ability to use your home computer as well as your business computer for desktop publishing.

Microsoft Excel is an electronic spreadsheet that runs on a personal computer which allows users to organize data into rows and columns.  It can also be used to perform mathematical calculations quickly and master the skills required to calculate revenue, income, and expenses, create a database, sort and find data, use different formulas for budgeting and cost analysis purposes

Microsoft PowerPoint gives users different abilities to create exciting slideshow presentations.

Upon completion, students will receive a certificate of achievement.

Microsoft Office Training Series

Microsoft Word

Learning Microsoft Word will provide students with basic concepts required to produce basic business documents, increase the complexity of their documents by adding components such as customized lists, tables, charts, and graphics.  Students will also create personalized efficiency tools, manage, revise and distribute long documents, and forms.

Microsoft Excel

Learning Microsoft Excel will allow students to create and edit basic worksheets and workbooks, and streamline and enhance spreadsheets with templates, charts, graphics, and formulas.  Students will apply visual elements and advanced formulas to a worksheet to display data in various formats and automate common tasks, apply advanced analysis techniques to more complex data sets, collaborate on worksheets with others, and share Excel data with other applications.

Microsoft PowerPoint

Students will learn how to create effective basic PowerPoint presentations for delivery in front of an audience and how to enhance presentations with features that will transform basic presentations into those with a powerful means of communication.
