French Language Courses

French Conversation I (FREN-I)

In this French course students will learn basic practice in comprehension and production of the spoken language. Emphasis will be on oral communication with an introduction of basic grammatical concepts and the development of reading and vocabulary skills. Cultural topics are presented. Students will be assessed according to the following formula: Attendance and participation, assignments and oral and written examination.

5 weeks/ 20 hours
Tuesday &  Thursday  5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

French Conversation II (FREN-II)

French Conversation II is a continuation of French I. Its aim is to present essential vocabulary and grammar, and to develop the pronunciation, listening, reading, and writing skills necessary for communication and comprehension. Customs and cultural insights are also presented.  Students will be assessed according to the following formula: Attendance and participation, assignments and oral and written

10 weeks/ 40 hours
